About the Speaker:
Since joining OPG in 2001, Subo has held key leadership roles in the Nuclear Division. As Chief Projects Officer, she drives project excellence and team-building to deliver clean, reliable power for Ontarians. Her portfolio includes the groundbreaking Darlington New Nuclear Project, nuclear refurbishments, and hydro station developments.
Previously, as Senior VP of Nuclear Refurbishment, she led the Darlington Refurbishment Project, extending the plant’s life by 30+ years. Her leadership secured international recognition, with Unit 3 returning to service ahead of schedule.
A champion of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Subo sponsors OPG’s women’s empowerment groups and mentors women in and beyond the organization. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph and has been a Professional Engineers Ontario member since 1998.
