Start your day off on the right foot with breakfast at Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre while engaging in conversations that inspire, connect, and recognize professional achievements.

  • Engaging Conversations on Leadership & Management: Join Shemeka Massiah, owner of Tax Assist Accountants of Oshawa East and Tax Assist Accountants of Kawartha Lakes as she shares her journey as a newcomer entrepreneur and trusted financial leader. Shemeka, who is originally from Antigua, has built a remarkable career spanning over two decades in accounting, with experience across Canada, the US and the Caribbean. Her journey is one of dedication and resilience, qualities that have made her a trusted advisor in the financial landscape. With a BSc in Accounting (First Class Honours) and a reputation for excellence, Shemeka's expertise is a perfect match for the high standards of service that TaxAssist Canada is known for.  Shemeka was also recently voted as Treasurer of the 2026 Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Executive Board of Directors.
