Good workplace and HR practices can help reduce risk in the workplace, while still focusing on having a positive employee experience and culture.  Why is this important?  What are the benefits of taking a proactive approach to workplace and employee matters?  Is it necessary?   Can I rather just deal with issues as they arise?

As a business owner, as an entrepreneur, as an employer or aspiring employer, you may have asked yourself the above. 

Some of the benefits of reducing risk in the workplace:

  • Hiring the right employee saves you money, time and energy by avoiding duplicate training and recruitment
  • Having the proper contracts, policies and best practices in place saves you money and avoids/lessens legal liability
  • Good practice grows your reputation as an employer who does things the right way
  • It gives you the confidence you need to take the action you want in running operations, knowing your business/organization is protected
  • You can manage your workforce as you see fit by taking action or making changes because you want to, and not because you are left without other options

Join us for a joint presentation to learn about workplace best practices to reduce risk, both from the employment law and the HR perspective.  We will discuss best practices at all stages of the employment relationship:  from hiring, during the relationship, and at its end.  We will discuss such topics as recruitment, employment contracts, workplace policies, workplace investigations and termination.
